| FAIRFIELD GLADE LADIES CLUB 2011 - 2012 President’s Welcome Entering the second year of my Presidency, I look back at all the wonderful dedicated Ladies who have supported our philanthropic and service projects. The Fairfield Ladies Club was formed in 1970 to help others. In the very beginning of our Club life we had a small group of ladies. We started out with only seven members and now we have grown to well over 600 members. This past year we have awarded twenty-two scholarship recipients totaling $30,000.00. The total community disbursements were $6,000.00, with our service projects totaling $3,000.00 of monetary donations, and an estimated value of non- monetary donations by the members totaling $8,310.00. Our monthly general meeting contributions were $1,782.00. So altogether we raised over $49,000 this year. Our ladies are a diverse group of women who believe in giving back to their community. Just look at the figures above which prove that we are a service organization and we are committed to helping others. I am so proud to be part of this wonderful organization. I appreciate each and every one of you. Everyone is familiar with the saying “It takes a village to raise a child.” There is a large extended family here that helps me with my job of being your president. I want to take this opportunity to acknowledge and thank all of you. It is an honor to serve as your President, but it is also a very humbling and challenging experience. I look forward to seeing you at our meetings and sharing the enjoyment and fulfillment of being a Fairfield Glade Ladies Club member. Laura Kaluszka |
